Cigna Sunday Streets combines physical activity and family-friendly fun to promote healthy living in the city of Houston.
This event is part of an iniative launched in 2012 by former Houston mayor, Annise Parker. In efforts to reduce obesity and increase healthy eating and exercise, Go Healthy Houston raises awareness with programs like Cigna Sunday Streets throughout the year.
March 13th marked the first Sunday Streets of 2016 and took place in the East End neighborhood. Houstonians were allowed to walk, run, bike, and even dance in the streets to get active. Patrons also got to enjoy live music and a variety of fresh foods.
It was a great time with a host of unique vendors and activities for all ages.
