Children. I love children.
The Gathering pictured comes from my awesome time as a nursery supervisor. During undergrad I worked lots of jobs, working with the church was by far my favorite.
I learn so much from children. Patience, acceptance, confidence. A certain something I just don’t get from my peers. I admire their curiosity and fearless attitude.
On my worst days, these kids would light up when I walked in, my heart would melt, the day saved. I can hear ’em now,”Ms. Briiiiiiii!” So many hugs, so many smiles. It was a blessing.
I’m constantly searching for that feeling today. But ever so often, amid the hustle and bustle of post grad life, I’ll run across some random little kid, and the real Joy is revealed. That thing I’d do without pay, what I can’t stop doing- everywhere I go.
